4. Different Environments

MMA has only ever been held in a ring or a cage, at least from the bigger promotions. But real fights aren’t limited to flat surfaces, so why not change up the environments a little bit? That’s what “Arena Combat” does, and it completely changes the strategy behind the fights.

You’ve got 2 on 1 scenarios, fighters trying to gain higher ground, fighters just trying to survive or escape. Those are the scenarios that really happen in hand-to-hand combat, so why not try and recreate them and make a sport out of it?

Arena combat was on AXS TV for awhile, but it doesn’t appear to have caught on. Check out some highlights in the video below:
