4. Mark Kerr

In what was surprising to very few people that watched him fight, 2x UFC tournament winner Mark “the Smashing Machine” Kerr would open up years later about his history of steroid use.  Mark Kerr along with Mark Coleman and Dan Severn were really the pioneer class of amateur wrestlers competing in mixed martial arts.

In the interview below, Kerr mentions that he avoided PEDs his entire amateur career and didn’t get into using steroids until entering into mixed martial arts.  By the time Kerr got to the UFC he was jacked, and he ran through the competition until 1998, when he left the company to go to PRIDE.  Kerr would finish his MMA career with a 15-11 record and having lost his last 5 fights.

In 2003 Kerr was the subject of a documentary that chronicled his addiction to pain killers as well.
