George St. Pierre and his management team are not fans of the new UFC owners. In fact, they blame WME-IMG for the failed negotiations to bring GSP back into the company in time for UFC 206 in Toronto.

“Those are the bad guys here,” said GSP’s lawyer Eric Hochstadt in reference to the new UFC owners. “Under the prior management before William Morris-IMG we don’t think any of this stuff would’ve happened. There would’ve been a deal reached, maybe even for UFC 206 in Toronto.”

The dispute between GSP and UFC continues to be the outside sponsorships that Georges had obtained prior to the Reebok deal. GSP feels that the UFC owes him compensation for his lost revenue should he return, and the UFC disagrees. But GSP’s side feels that the new owners are far less agreeable to deal with than the previous ones.
