1. Post-Fight UFC 196
Post-Fight UFC 196 Conor looked small and Nate looked like a giant. The body language from Conor indicated he might never get in the cage again, or that he might break down and cry. Shoulders slumped, he at one point almost looked like he was going to “pull a Forrest Griffin” and run out of there. Meanwhile Nate looked larger than life, even with his face all busted open.
An important part to remember is that for a round and a half out of a fight that didn’t go two rounds, Conor was winning. Conor was busting Nate’s face open only until he realized he couldn’t finish him, panicked, got tagged, panicked some more and got himself choked out. As big as Nate is if Conor is too quick for him and goes into UFC 202 with a strategy of scoring and getting out with his punches, Nate will lose this fight by decision. Then again if he tags Conor like he did last fight he might just take him to the ground and choke him out all over again.
We’ll find out on August 20th.
