7. Kevin Randleman

Former heavyweight champion Kevin Randleman is probably best remembered for knocking himself out before his title defense against Pedro Rizzo at UFC 24. He slipped and smacked his head off the concrete on the night of the event, ruling him out of the fight. That’s the most entertaining moment of his championship legacy.

Randleman had already lost a bleak decision to Bas Rutten in a previous title fight. He finally won the belt by beating Pete Williams in a unanimous decision. The Rizzo fight finally happened at UFC 26 and also went to decision. Couture then came along, and the rest is history. Tragically, Randleman lost his life in 2016.
