1. Rosi Sexton

A pioneer for women’s MMA, Rosi Sexton was a Cage Warrior’s champion and the first British woman to compete in the UFC. Her career lasted for ten years and she went unbeaten until running into Gina Carano. There’s no shame in that. All of this is very impressive, but when you look at her life outside the cage it gets even crazier.

Sexton is definitely not a stereotypical fighter. After getting a first-class degree in mathematics from Trinity College, Cambridge she went on to do a Masters of Science and finally a PhD in Theoretical Computer Science. I don’t even know what that means. Now she’s a councillor for her local constituency in the UK. Some people can just do anything.
