While most of the trouble surrounding UFC 229 took place on the night of the fight, tempers were also frayed at the weigh-ins 24 hours earlier.
A disagreement between two men and two women just as the weigh-ins were coming to a conclusion escalated into a full-on fight when one of the two males, dressed in a McGregor branded t-shirt, slapped a female Russian fan in the face.
What appeared to be her partner then retailiated, throwing a chair and then a superman-punch at the man, before eventually punching him in the face and wrestling him to the ground.
Meanwhile, the two females also had started fighting, with the Russian lady managing to get the other woman to the floor and land some ground and pound before police came in to break up both fights.
“Normally when our fans show up, everybody treats each other with respect,” White told Yahoo! Sports afterwards. “Things like that have never happened.”
