1. Ben Rothwell MMA Debut
Ben Rothwell made his MMA debut in a tournament that was open to amateurs. Evidently they let just anyone, regardless of physical condition, take part in the tournament. They did allow the more out of shape competitors to compete with their shirts on however, so as not to embarrass any fighter who might have a little jiggle to their mid-section.
Unfortunately for the rather out of shape youngster in the video below, his first fight would be against future UFC heavyweight Ben Rothwell. In what I’m sure was uncomfortable for everyone who witnessed it, Rothwell pummelled this youngster, and would eventually go on to win the tournament.
