No.6: Eryk Anders vs. Tim Williams
Eryk Anders found himself in a tougher than anticipated fight with Tim Williams at UFC Fight Night 135 in August, meaning that there was still all to play for as the fight headed into the latter stage of the final round.
Anders was still alert for any possibility to end the fight inside the distance though, and that opportunity presented itself as Williams attempted to work his way back to his feet after a grappling exchange on the mat.
Anders was waiting as Williams began to rise back up and then punted him in the face so hard with a kick that for a moment it seemed as if his opponent was in orbit before coming crashing back down to earth unconscious, just 16 seconds before the end of the fight.
At first glance it looked as if it might have been an illegal blow, landed while Williams was still technically grounded, but replays showed that both Anders and the referee had got it right, with his hands having just left the mat when Anders fight-ending kick landed.
