Frank Shamrock vs. Dana White
As the UFC’s first ever middleweight champion, Frank Shamrock seems like an obvious choice to be in the UFC’s hall-of-fame, but bad blood with Dana White has shut that down.
Shamrock had already left the UFC by the time White became UFC President, but they had approached him about returning and the talks didn’t go well, leading to a long-standing dislike between the two parties.
Shamrock would go on to frequently criticize the UFC publicly over issues like fighter pay and even made unsubstantiated claims that he once saw White, “beat up a woman and then celebrate.”
Meanwhile, in one angry rant White labelled Shamrock, “A douchebag,” “a two-faced liar” and a “phony,” while adding, “I can’t stand the guy.”
Asked in 2011 who the one person he’d come out of retirement to fight was, Shamrock replied, “Dana White.”
