UFC: San Antonio Was Rubbish But Walt Harris Decided to Liven Up the Action… He Demolished Aleksei Oleinik in Just 12-Seconds…
It was a tale of two cards at UFC on ESPN 4 in San Antonio, Texas. The fans were treated to a ridiculous 11 decisions before Dan Hooker and Walt Harris came along and decided to end their fights with a bang. You’ve really got to love the heavyweight division. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of knowing that one punch can shut your opponent’s eyes.
Harris is one of the hardest hitters in a division full of them. He won his second straight $50,000 performance of the night bonus by KOing Aleksei Oleinik in just 12 seconds. Oleinik is a well-respect grappler so this was set to be a massive clash of styles. What’s the best way to deal with a takedown? Smash them in the head.
Check out Harris’s brutally efficient finish below. He is truly a bad man.

Straight Left
This was as clinical a finish from a heavyweight that you’ll ever see. Oleinik has never been known to be good on his feet and he moved forward awkwardly. Harris threw a jab, followed by a flying knee that forced the Russian backwards. He dropped his hands and then boom, ‘The Big Ticket’ smashed him in the head with a straight left.
Oleinik went down straight away like a sack of potatoes. Harris still had some time for some ground-and-pound before the referee intervened to save Oleinik’s life. After this win, he wants a quick turnaround and has eyes on a spot on the UFC Abu Dhabi card in September.
Dan Hooker (18-8) snaps #UFCSanAntonio's nine-bout decision streak, starching James Vick in under a round! The Kiwi from City Kickboxing is 5-1 in his last six. He has stopped 17, 12 in one frame, and 10 by knockout. pic.twitter.com/Um0qSgKLkt

Violent
Dan Hooker also got in the KO column when he stopped James Vick in the very first round of their main card fight. His KO was absolutely clinical. Much of the talk going into this one was about whether or not he’d be able to cope with Vick’s crazy reach. The answer was emphatic.
He faked a right and then threw a left hook, immediately putting Vick out. A few necessary Masivdal style-ground and-pound punches and it was done. The Hangman is possibly the most intense New Zealander on the planet. Now James Vick faces the realistic prospect of being cut, while Hooker moves to 5-1 in his last six.
