Wow…UFC 217 is looking STACKED right now…

Coming off a great event at UFC 214, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization looks to keep the ball rolling. Although there’s a while to wait until the next big pay-per-view, the UFC is booking up some massive fights for the last quarter of 2017.

Previously announced in March but without a date, Michael Bisping vs. Georges St-Pierre has proved a troublesome booking to make. GSP said he wouldn’t be fit to compete until November, and UFC president Dana White canceled the fight.

St-Pierre was instead promised a welterweight title fight, but Tyson Woodley’s performance against Demian Maia saw an end to that idea.

Bisping vs. GSP is Finally Official

Former two-time welterweight champ GSP has been inactive since 2013. During that time, Bisping has gone from gatekeeper to world beater. Since 2013, ‘The Count’ has fought eight times, compiling six wins and two losses.

Bisping’s record now stands at an impressive 30-7, he currently holds the record for most wins in UFC history (20).

Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt

UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt rocked the MMA world against Dominick Cruz. Since beating ‘The Dominator’ at UFC 207, ‘No Love’ has been embroiled in a public feud with TJ Dillashaw.

‘The Viper’ is a former team mate of Dillashaw at Team Alpha Male. Since leaving the camp Dillashaw has been brandished a snake by Garbrandt and his legion of followers. Now they finally get a chance to fight, and about time after their seemingly endless amounts of clashes on The Ultimate Fighter.

Stacked Night of Fights in New York

Outside the mentioned title fights, there’s a massive clash in the making for women’s strawweight. Undisputed queen Joanna Jedrzejczyk has been dominating the competition, and her proposed opponent is also a dynamo.

Rose Namajunas is getting her title shot, and the bout is being targetted for UFC 217. The event goes down on November 4, 2017, in the historic Madison Square Gardens, New York.

“To be honest, I love being from New York, but my whole thoughts and dreams of fighting in New York – they’re kind of starting to fade. Looking at it from a business standpoint, it’s not a really good idea to pay 9 percent to the state of New York off the top just for fighting here. With 9 percent of every $1 million, that will add up real quick.

“I realize people from all over the world are going to watch it, whether it’s in Vegas or Canada or wherever. It would have been great to be the first person to fight at Madison Square Garden, but now that it’s happened and everything … I want to do it eventually, but it’s not something that’s a dream the way it used to be.”
