UFC 217 is shaping up to be the card of 2017, check out the STACKED New York City card details here…

Going down on November 11, UFC 217 sees the promotion return to New York City. Featuring a fantastic lineup of stars, the card now houses a whopping three title fights on the pay-per-view card.

First was the booking of middleweight champion Michael Bisping vs. Georges St-Pierre. The 185-pound title clash was on then off, but Tyron Woodley’s drowsy performance against Demian Maia saw ‘T-Wood’ miss out on his chance against GSP.

Having won the belt from Luke Rockhold at UFC 199, ‘The Count’ has fought once in the last year against Dan Henderson. St-Pierre has been inactive since abdicating the welterweight title in late 2013.

Down to bantamweight and we’ll see Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw finally settle their long-standing beef in the co-main event. Former stablemates at Team Alpha Male, ‘The Viper’ and ‘No Love’ served as opposing coaches on TUF.

Cody Garbrandt will attempt to take out his biggest rival at UFC 217. TJ Dillashaw will become a two-time UFC bantamweight champion if he is able to defeat ‘No Love’ on November 11…

UFC 217 Really Shaping Up

Aside from the main and co-main, the UFC announced today that Joanna Jedrzejczyk is the third champion competing on the card. Facing Rose Namajunas, ‘JJ’ hopes to continue her superb form at women’s strawweight.

Joanna champion has beaten the best the 115-pound division has to offer. Since winning the title in 2015 from Carla Esparza, Jedjerczyk has defended the belt five times. Most recently dominating Jessica Andrade, JJ is climbing the pound-for-pound rankings.

Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson returns to action at UFC 217. Tough street fighter Jorge Masvidal will hope to make this a gritty short range brawl…

Wonderboy is Back

After losing to Tyron Woodley at UFC 209, fan favorite striker Stephen Thompson returns against Jorge Masvidal. Also tasting defeat in his last outing against Demian Maia, ‘Gamebred’ will look to get back in form.

Heavyweights Oleksiy Oilynyk and Curtis Blaydes will collide in a battle of top prospects, and there’s Johny Hendricks vs. Paulo Borrachinha at middleweight too. Looking like a great card, UFC 217 is available on pay-per-view for the main card.

  1. I’m watching this one to see Cody Garbrandt back in the octagon, that should be the main event right there.
