In terms of the UFC Market, China might have possibly been one of the biggest markets that they have yet to get. What better way to get Asia Market than get a UFC Chinese Champion and fight in their hometown.

At first Dana White said that Namajunas did not want for the title and the UFC is looking who will be Weili’s next opponent but the misunderstanding was arranged. The report is that UFC will be looking to book the big fight in Asia. Hopefully, the pandemic won’t hinder their fight.

Zhang Weili’s first title fight was in Shenzhen, China where she beat Jessica Andrade to become the UFC Strawweight Champion. It is worth noting that Andrade also beat Namajunas to win the belt prior to the fight and it was in Brazil. Although Namajunas was winning the fight until the huge slam and in her defense, Namajunas beat her in a rematch.

Weili is set to face another former strawweight champion, after having one of the greatest women’s fights in UFC history against Joanna Jędrzejczyk. Another thing worth noting is that Joanna Jędrzejczyk was the longest-reigning strawweight champion, and Namajunas was the first person to beat her and not once but twice. The first one ended in an upset knockout.

It will be a massive fight for the strawweight since they are the clear top fighters in the division, the only fighter that is of the same level would be Jędrzejczyk. It will be competitive and both strikers have a great standup game and could potentially be a banger.
