Out of 574 Active Fighters in the USADA Testing Pool, Only Brock Lesnar’s Has Been Identified as Missing… Now USADA Are Saying it Was Just a Glitch in the System…
Brock Lesnar is a known drug’s cheat. It doesn’t matter whether or not you’re a fan of the giant WWE star and former UFC heavyweight champion. He’s been caught doping, and that’s forever tainted his record in the eyes of many fans. Mark Hunt has never forgiven Lesner or the UFC for the defeat that was a turning point in his career.
Lesner re-entered the USADA testing pool because he could potentially fight Daniel Cormier for the title. However, it was reported late last week that one of his test samples had gone missing. Let’s get this straight: there are 574 active fighters on the roster. One known drug cheat, set to come back for a big pay-per-view goes missing?
Obviously, the conspiracy theorists had a field day. Now USADA has released a statement addressing exactly what happened. Needless to say, some people still aren’t convinced, and we don’t blame them.
Ive gone through @USADA_UFC 's xml with a fine toothcomb.
Only Lesnar's test numbers have dropped between 28/11 and 7/12, no other fighters affected
Sample is from 17/10 reporting period. 2 samples reported that week originally.

Missing
Lesnar failed two test results – in and out of competition – that related to the UFC 200 fight against Mark Hunt. The estrogen blocker clomiphene was detected in both of them. Naturally, alarm bells went off when his sample was reported missing. A USADA statement on ESPN said:
“USADA updates the Athlete Test History page of the UFC/USADA website on a weekly basis. During an update on the week of October 15th, we experienced a technical issue that resulted in the information on the page being displayed incorrectly.
“The correct test history for the athlete is one test [that week], not two. The issue has been fixed and the testing numbers on the website are all accurate. We are still investigating the specific technical issue that led to the error.”
Excuses
Jeff Novitzky, the UFC VP of Athlete Testing said:
“This program has a limited amount of resources and funding. It would be great to test everybody every week, but that would cost millions and millions of dollars. To put it in a nutshell, I have all the confidence in the world USADA is allocating these testing resources appropriately.”
“The public website, as I understand it, indicated there had been two tests during this last quarter, and it recently dropped to one. I have always seen one test in this quarter for Lesnar. It was a urine test and it came back negative.”
Conspiracy
Obviously, this isn’t going to appease many fans. It’s definitely a fishy situation, especially when you look at Lesnar’s recent record. Taking the Hunt no-contest out of the equation, the last time Lesnar won in an octagon was back in 2010, when he submitted Shane Carwin.
He lost his title when he was brutally TKOed by Cain Velasquez, and then battered again by Alistair Overeem. Now that Roman Reigns has had to surrender his WWE title for tragic personal reasons (leukaemia), Lesnar has been reinstated. We might never seem him fight in the UFC again.
