The pre-fight press conference just ended and both fighters just had some intense encounters that definitely made the fans more excited. In their face-off, Caleb Plant seemed to talk trash against Canelo that made him mad.
After hearing some not-so-nice words, Canelo pushed Plant to which Plant tried to get back by throwing a slap. Unfortunately for Plant, Canelo’s reflexes kicked in so he hit Plant with a pull counter. Canelo countered with a 1-2 slab that left Plant bloodied scratch.
In an interview on what made Canelo push Plant, he thought that Plant insulted his mom when Plant said the “MF” word. Now, English is not Canelo’s mother tongue so it makes sense why Canelo got mad.
The fight is scheduled to take place on November 6 and the winner will be crowned as the first-ever undisputed super middleweight champion. Canelo is coming in as a heavy favorite and it makes sense since he not only holds more belts but also the guys he has beaten were world-class fighters. Canelo is ranked top 1 pound for pound fighter for a reason. As for Plant, don’t count him out as there is always a chance for an upset.
