MMA vs Boxing? You can bet Conor McGregor wants Floyd Mayweather to see this…
The age old debate of mixed martial arts vs boxing has been raging for years now, and happens nearly every time MMA stars make it to the pinnacle of the game. Take Ronda Rousey for instance, as soon as she became the biggest thing in combat sports, a feud with Floyd Mayweather emerged.
The same thing happened with UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor, again with Mayweather Jr., as the two stars of boxing and MMA continue to go back and forth to this day.
Then Nate Diaz came along and choked Conor McGregor out in the UFC 196 main event, and suddenly boxers were all over this. Some of the sport’s best pugilists were picking apart both men’s striking techniques, and it led to this crazy video you are about to watch going viral. Check it out:

It features ex-UFC light-heavyweight and heavyweight Fabio Maldonado. The ‘Iron Hillbilly’ saw some mid level fame when he took a horrendous beating aganst Glover Teixeira, and beat a few mid-tier guys before being dropped following straight losses.
He headed back to the world of the square ring this month, and once again sparks the debate over MMA vs. Boxing.
When there’s no ground game involved, many would lean towards the boxer having the advantage, but does anyone remember this bout between Vitor Belfort and Josemario Neves?
The pro boxer from Brazil claimed the former UFC champion couldn’t box, but few expected Belfort to accept the challenge. When he did though, the MMA world got to watch a treat of a fight, as it barely made it past the one minute mark.
Once a puncher always a puncher. In Vitor Belfort’s case, he was way too much even with his clearly MMA-style striking. Oss!
