WATCH: Angry Conor McGregor Fan Abuses Eddie Alvarez

The UFC 205 fight card got some huge boosts this week. The main event for the November 12 pay-per-view is massive, to say the least. After weeks of speculation, the promotion finally put all the rumours to rest.

Within the space of 24 hours, UFC 205 went from awesome to a potential greatest card ever. The talk of the last day has centered on Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez. The featherweight champion stays out of his own division to challenge for the lightweight belt in New York.

Big, But Controversial

The announcement of Alvarez vs. McGregor was absolutely huge, but also met with some harsh criticism. Many fans feel that the fight to make was Khabib Nurmagomedov against Alvarez. Money fights are officially here, and some people are angry that rankings are being put aside.

With the new owners recently taking over the UFC, this transitional period could prove pivotal in the promotions future.As of now, it looks like cash-influenced fights are the way forward for the UFC. Is that for the best though? Last night’s pre-sale presser was another example of where the UFC is going with their promotional style.

Even though all the major stars of UFC 205 were on stage, the questions at the press conference were nearly all for Conor McGregor. As we know he is a wildly popular fighter, but some fighters didn’t even get asked a single question.

In typical McGregor fashion, the brash Irishman made some very outrageous quotes. He predicted he’d knock Eddie Alvarez out in one round, and also mocked the lightweight champion for not renegotiating his contract for their fight.

We had all expected an eventful press conference for UFC 205, but one particular moment came out of nowhere. A suited and booted gentleman took the microphone during question time, and his comments were truly wild.
