Conor McGregor participated in UFC 205’s open workouts at Madison Square Garden yesterday, and reiterated his prediction of a 1st round KO win on Saturday night.
Just because he is Conor McGregor however, he had to close out his workout by sinking a jump shot from just outside the free-throw line, not far from where the octagon will be set up for UFC 205.
McGregor’s quest to capture belts in two weight divisions has created a groundswell of angry contenders in both divisions. UFC interim featherweight champion Jose Aldo has been the most critical of McGregor’s failure to defend the title he took from him 11 months ago, at one point stating he was retiring from the sport as a result.
Whether his critics like it or not however, Conor has a chance to make history this weekend.
