What was everyone saying about UFC 206 being terrible?
Taking place in Toronto, Canada last night, UFC 206 went off with a bang. After numerous problems in the lead up to the pay-per-view card, many felt UFC 206 was going to be a snoozer.
Delivering on all fronts, UFC 206 is arguably one of the better events of 2016. Featuring a main card clash between Donald Cerrone and Matt Brown, fans of ‘Cowboy’ got to see yet another crazy finish.
Cowboy vs. The Immortal
Colliding at welterweight, Donald Cerrone vs. Matt Brown was a highly anticipated war. Since moving to welterweight in early 2016, ‘Cowboy’ had already strung together three straight finishes.
Against ‘The Immortal,’ Cerrone made it four in a row. The fight was close and exciting as many had thought it would be. Heading in to the third round though, Cerrone was gunning for the finish.
Cerrone vs. Brown Video Highlights Below
Landing one of his trademark headkicks, Donald Cerrone got the job done in round three. Brown, as tough as he’s renowned for being, could not withstand such a strike. ‘The Immortal’ was laid out flat on his back by the loud strike.
Oddly enough, UFC commentator Mike Goldberg called it a ‘body kick’ knockout, but was quickly corrected by Joe Rogan. The finish marks the fourth straight win for ‘Cowboy’ at 170 pounds.

What’s Next?
Arguably in line for a welterweight title fight at some point, Cerrone actually called out Demian Maia after this crazy win. ‘Cowboy’ also said he wants to fight in Denver, Colorado in a few weeks.
The Greg Jackson’s striker is just one finish away from tying Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort’s record of 14 (most finishes in UFC history).
