The topsy turvy tale of Jon Jones looks like it will continue inside the UFC octagon. Since mid-2015 ‘Bones’ has faced serious adversity. Following years of close shaves with the law, including a wrecked Bentley and DUI, Jones finally came a cropper.

After smashing a rental car in to a pregnant lady, then fleeing the scene and leaving the injured woman, Jones was stripped of his title. Banished and left to face the music in the New Mexico courts, Jones could have been jailed for five years.

Frustrating was a term thrown around a lot when describing Jon Jones’ situation. Eventually receiving a token fine and some public service, Jones essentially got away with a slapped wrist. Once again, ‘Bones’ was set for a big return to the UFC.

Lifting his indefinite suspension, the promotion put all their marbles on Jones staying out of trouble. He was set to face Daniel Cormier to unify the light-heavyweight belts after defeating OSP at UFC 197. Few knew how much more complicated this whole sage would become. In step USADA…

USADA flagged Jon Jones for a failed drug test before he could fight at UFC 200. The milestone card was left in turmoil, as was Jon Jones’ career, again. After a troubling few months, new updates have surfaced in this case.

Jones’ attorney and USADA have confirmed that a tainted batch of supplements were to blame for ‘Bones” positive test. To make it a little more simple, Jones will be back, and very soon. Although the doping agency and NSAC are yet to rule in his case, he’ll likely be able to return immediately.
