The Korean Zombie Came in And Got it Done Quickly… Renato Moicano Still Doesn’t Know What Hit Him…
Chan Sung Jung is one of the most popular fighters in the lightweight division. The Korean Zombie was one of the top action fighters on the roster before departing to complete his national service in his home country. Two years later he came back and has suffered mixed results.
A devastating knockout in the very last second of his most recent fight against Yair Rodriguez put a dent in his hopes of a title charge, but the Korean refused to take an easy match-up next. He agreed to fight Renato Moicano, one of the most highly-vaunted Brazilians in the division.
And boy, did he put on a performance. The Korean Zombie ran through Moicano, ending him in the very first minute of the fight. Check out the highlights below.
THAT'S IT!

Sublime
The Korean Zombie had all the support in Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. Shouts of ‘Zombie’ could be heard as he climbed into the cage. There’s really not much to say about this fight except that it was over quickly. Chan Sung Jung landed a brutal right hand to Moicano, dropping the Brazilian.
Moicano went down and the Zombie was all over him with ground-and-pound. He took the Brazilian’s back and continued to chip away until the referee ended the fight. Not a bad night’s work for the Korean who walked away with a cool $50,000 bonus for his stellar performance.

Twitter Love
Chan received a lot of love on Twitter from his fellow professionals for his brutal efficiency. You’ve got to appreciate when the pros show love to their fellow fighters. There was also a brilliant callout by Jeremy Stephens. If that fight were to go down, you know it would be absolutely savage. Stephens tweeted:
“I’ll take the @KoreanZombieMMA next! Let’s go @danawhite @seanshelby @ufc it’s the most exciting fight to make. Congrats on quick work, see ya soon!”
We agree. That is a fantastic match-up that should absolutely happen. It would surely be carnage. Stephens is a savage and the Korean Zombie is a lunatic. For sheer chaos and brutality, this is the perfect match-up for both men. A win for either would put them back in top-five contention and closer to a title shot.
