They say in MMA anything can happen, well that might just be true. Over the years we’ve seen some crazy stuff, but today’s article takes the biscuit. Knockout Promotions 54 went down this weekend, and one of the craziest post-fight moments ensued.
Facing off in Michigan were feisty scrappers Ryse Brink and Joseph Nehm. After the fight got started, it was literally seconds before things got really crazy.
Fighting out of Stars and Strikes MMA in Michigan, Brink apparently likes to throw hands. When he connects, Nehm goes to sleep. When he wakes up, he finds the nearest neck to grab hold of.
Unfortunately for the referee, he ends up getting put in a rear naked choke by the dazed fighter. Watch on the Youtube player below:

Ever seen that happen before? Fir play to the referee for stepping in so quickly, but he probably didn’t expect that reaction. These kinds of moments prove that there’s great viewing even on the regional circuit in MMA.
