WATCH: Tyron Woodley’s Mom Reacts To UFC 201 Knockout

The UFC welterweight division got a new champion on Saturday July 30, 2016. Rising contender Tyron Woodley took on the scary Robbie Lawler in the UFC 201 main event, and the fight never made it out of round one.

Many had predicted ‘Ruthless’ to continue his spree of bloody victories against ‘The Chosen One,’ but Woodley had other plans. Sending Lawler to the canvas with a huge overhand right, he finished the fight with some heavy ground strikes.

‘The Chosen One’ had arrived, and it was back to the drawing board for ‘Ruthless’ after this crushing defeat. Having seen a career rejuvenation after 15 years in the sport, it seems Lawler might need to rethink his approach again.
