Wow, that has to be one of the most amazing moments in MMA history…
Heading in to UFC 205, there was a lot of debate about Conor McGregor getting the lightweight title shot. Eddie Alvarez stood in the way of McGregor making history as the first ever two-weight champion.
Leading up to the main event was a collection of great fights, but McGregor vs. Alvarez was the one fans were anticipating most. After winning the featherweight belt at UFC 194, then going one and one against welterweight Nate Diaz, ‘The Notorious’ came in rampant.
McGregor Defeats Alvarez by TKO
Conor McGregor was in charge this entire fight. Eddie Alvarez looked gun shy and seriously out-matched. McGregor chose his strikes and was simply way too much for the now-former lightweight champion.
