Oh, Melvin Guillard… What Have You Done? The UFC Veteran is Wanted by Denver Police After Knocking Out Three People in a Bar Brawl…

Melvin Guillard AKA ‘The Young Assassin’ is not so young anymore. He’s 35 years old now, and he’s no longer a UFC fighter either. He established a mediocre record of 12 wins and 9 losses in the world’s premier MMA promotion, but things haven’t gone well for him since leaving.

He’s currently riding a 9-fight losing streak. Oh sorry, there’s one no-contest in there too. Guillard has fought for WSOF, Bellator and most recently RIZIN in Japan. His most recent official fight is a first-round KO loss to Takanori Gomi. That should tell you a lot.

But this man loves to fight – maybe a little bit too much for his own good. There’s something about a breed of professional fighter that just does it because they’re a little bit crazy. The money doesn’t matter as much as the chance to be violent. Watch the footage below and you’ll see why Guillard is being hunted by Denver Police.

No Mercy

In the video above (courtesy of TMZ Sports), we can see Guillard shoves one male, which just sparks off more violence. He chops down another man with brutal hands and demonstrates that he’s an absolutely ruthless feminist by knocking down a woman as well.

The surveillance footage reveals that words were definitely exchanged before matters turned violent. Unfortunately for Guillard, his one-sided brawl is likely to land him in a world of trouble, because Denver police have confirmed that they are searching for him.

Big Mistake

His brush with the law is likely to cause him a whole load of financial trouble as well. The Louisiana native was set to take on former TUF contestant Zane Kamaka at X-1 World Events 51. So he’s going to miss out on a pay-day and probably have to pay expensive legal fees.

On the bright side, it might save him a few brain cells. 4 straight KO losses are not good for you. The dude might want to start thinking about hanging up his gloves – ideally about three years ago, for his own sake.

Street Fights

MMA fighters love getting into street fights. It’s absolutely bizarre when you think about it because they’re actually getting paid to fight. Why risk the future of your career and the possibility of arrest, when your actual job is to call people out and brutally beat them up in front of a crowd?

The Diaz Brothers are particularly notorious for their constant tendency to get into street fights. Nate has been involved in a couple this year, with one involving fellow UFC fighter Clay Guida. He was investigated by Las Vegas police but no charges were pressed.

Older brother Nick once famously put a beating on two men outside a nightclub. Rapper Marlon Wayans tried to warn the two men that they were messing with an elite pro-MMA fighter. They learned the hard way not to do it again.
