Wanderlei-Silva-and-Quinton

4. Rampage Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva

The first time these two met was in the finals of the 2003 PRIDE middleweight grand prix and each fighter had fought earlier that night.  Jackson controlled the fight early on the ground but once Silva got up he started laying in the knees from the thai clinch and eventually the ref jumped in to stop the fight.

The rematch would happen on October 31st 2004 when Silva would defend the PRIDE middleweight championship against Rampage.  With both fighters fresh this time the pace was much quicker and both were very aggressive.  Jackson almost ended the fight at the end of the 1st round but Silva came back to KO Jackson with knees from the thai clinch in the 2nd, causing Rampage to collapse unconscious between the ring ropes.

Jackson would avenge the ugly knockout loss at UFC 92, when he knocked Silva out in the 1st round.
