Everybody likes a good comeback story, but some of us love a good failed comeback story even more. Especially if the fighter involved is someone easy to hate, and MMA is full of those.
Unfortunately, there has never been a shortage of fight promoters willing to put an ageing name on the marquee and try to play up their comeback fight as a big story. Unless they happen to be put in there against a guy of no real skill however, the fighter on the comeback trail usually gets his ass kicked.
