2. Charles McCarthy UFC 83
There is possibly no better example of a guy talking trash and getting punked out than “Chainsaw” Charles McCarthy. Coming into his UFC 83 fight with Michael Bisping, McCarthy bad-mouthed Bisping by saying his opponents were all hand-picked because the UFC wants to expand its reach in the UK. He called Bisping the “Worst Big Name Fighter” there was. Bisping answered McCarthy’s criticisms in epic fashion.
McCarthy was unwilling to continue fighting after taking a 1st round filled with knees to the face and body (McCarthy’s arm was injured by Bisping’s knees it appears). Not only would “Chainsaw” Charles not continue fighting on that night, he would never fight again. McCarthy officially announced his retirement from the sport just 5 days later.
