8. Frank Mir
To think that Frank Mir was once the greatest heavyweight on the planet. Mir’s case is very different from most of the fighters on this list. He got stripped of his title after a motorcycle accident. It was a sad way for his career to go downhill, after becoming one of the best submission artists in heavyweight history.
The UFC was forced to strip him of the title because he was basically going to be out of action for too long. So they made Andrei Arlovski the undisputed champion after initially giving him an interim belt. Mir would win the interim title back but lost to Brock Lesnar for the real thing. Still, he got to break im Sylvia’s arm.
