Bob Ascolillo
The amateur fight between Bob Ascolillo and Ben Syers at Evolution Championships in 2010 produced one of the quickest finishes in amateur MMA history, lasting just 4 seconds, but the action didn’t stop there.
Ascolillo charged forward at the start of the fight, only to run straight into a counter left hook from Syers that knocked him out.
However, as the referee Keith Peterson dived over the downed fighter to protect him from further punishment, Ascolillo came back to life and started grappling with the official.
The dazed and confused Ascolillo then got Peterson on his back, moved to side control and then into side mount ready to rain down ground and pound, but other officials quickly burst into the cage and were able to drag him off and let him come to his senses.
Peterson didn’t hold a grudge afterwards, dusting himself off and then going over to the fighter to tell him there were no hard feelings.
