Conor McGregor vs. Ali Abdelaziz
As savage as McGregor’s rivalry with Nurmagomedov is, the war of words with his manager Ali Abdelaziz has been equally intense.
Abdelaziz has a controversial past to say the least, having reportedly been a counter-terrorism informant for the FBI who was allegedly released after suspicions that he was acting as a double agent.
“Shut your mouth, Ali Abdelaziz!” McGregor ranted when the agent tried shouting at him during a staredown with Nurmagomedov. “Mad terrorist. Terrorist snitch. I know a lot about you as well, you mad rat!”
That wasn’t enough for McGregor though, as he continued to get deeply personal with Abdelaziz.
“How’s Noah? How’s Noah? Huh? Yeah. Shut your mouth!”
Noah is it turns out is a child of Abdelaziz who he was alleged to have abandoned in Colorado many years before and was alleged to be $50,000 behind in child support for.
At another UFC 229 press conference just days before the fight with Nurmagomedov, McGregor claimed that Abdelaziz had been arrested on 9/11, 2001 on a flight from Cairo to New York with five passports in his possession, which led to him being turned into an informant.
“It was dark man, it was the darkest press conference I’ve ever been a part of,” Dana White would tell ESPN Sportscenter afterwards.
