6. EliteXC Bribes Seth Petruzelli Before Fight With Kimbo Slice

Seth Petruzelli needed just 14 seconds to defeat Kimbo Slice at EliteXC: Heat. The fight from 2008 ended up being the last ever for the promotion.

Petruzelli went on the radio the next day and admitted EliteXC officials had insinuated he would receive a bonus if the fight with Kimbo stayed standing. In his defense, Petruzelli did keep the fight standing up until he knocked Kimbo out. Rather than deal with the fallout, EliteXC folded.

Petruzelli would later say his comments were misconstrued but the damage had been done at this point. Oddly enough, Petruzelli retired from MMA in 2013 and is currently pursuing a second career as a pro-wrestler.
