Zabit Magomedsharipov

At 6ft 1″ tall, Zabit Magomedsharipov certainly stands out from the crowd in the UFC’s featherweight division, but it’s his MMA skill-set that really has people buzzing about his potential to be a future title contender.

Despite his size, the 16-1 Magomedsharipov is a smooth operator on the feet who moves fluidly, effectively utilizes his range and has a versatile arsenal of striking techniques at his disposal.

However, he’s also showcased excellent wrestling and a dangerous Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu game into the bargain, with three of his four victories in the UFC to date having come via rear-naked choke, anaconda choke and even an ultra-rare suloev stretch submission.

Heading into 2019 the 27-year-old is still only ranked No.14 at 145lbs, but with his next fight coming against Jeremy Stephens at UFC 235 in March, this is a year that he could make his mark at the highest level.
