Honorable Mention: the Kumite from “Bloodsport”

The Kumite from “Bloodsport” was an unregulated fight tournament that seemed to allow dastardly tactics from the notorious Chong Li.

The real story behind the movie is where the actual corruption comes in.

The movie is supposedly based on a true story involving martial artist Frank Dux, who claims to have fought in such an underground tournament. The only problem with Dux’s claims is that when the LA Times looked into them they found out the trophy Dux had won from competing in the tournament had been purchased by Dux himself at a local trophy shop, and the organization that was supposedly running the tournament listed the same address as Dux’s residence.

The movie was still cool though.
