James Harden is possibly not interested in joining the Houston Rockets. He missed the team’s practice and was spotted in Las Vegas partying. He recently declined the 2-year extension that he may receive a $50M per year salary. He would have been the first to get that amount of money.

All the rumors started when Russell Westbrook indicated that he does not want to play with James Harden anymore. It was shocking since both players were former teammates that went to the Finals with the OKC. The Houston Rockets even traded Chris Paul who was crucial to Houston’s success.
Due to his Vegas partying while his team is practicing, fans are speculating that he may not be interested in playing with the Houstons anymore. The Houston Rockets are optimistic that Harden will return but who knows.
Brooklyn Nets is the team that the media are pushing where Harden will go. The Brooklyn might from a big 3 if they unite in one team. The question is whether he will go there. Kevin Durant has said that he knows nothing about James Harden going to Brooklyn and is just interested in playing pro basketball again.
Another team in mind is the Philadelphia Sixers with their new manager Daryl Morey. He may have a history with Harden that may help him in joining the 76ers. 76ers are also a talent-stacked team with Embiid as their star, so it is not a bad choice to go there.
No official announcement from the former MVP yet, he may be just enjoying his rest until the season restart. Another issue is, Harden was not observing safety protocols that may lead him to higher risk. The NBA is issuing strict safety protocols for all teams in the NBA.
