Ronda Rousey’s highly-anticipated return to the Octagon after a year of being largely out of the picture didn’t go as she had planned.
UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes needed just 48 seconds to derail the former champion’s comeback. Nunes (14-4) staggered Rousey (12-2) with a punch and finished her off with a combination to score the standing TKO.
After the fight, Nunes said she had envisioned beating Rousey all along, even from her first professional bout. Obviously irked by the fact that Rousey got all the attention leading up to the match, Nunes entered the cage with a huge chip on her shoulder.
Can’t Handle Criticism
Rousey, the former champion, lost her title in December of 2015 to Holly Holm. Since then, she had kept largely outside of the public eye. Many criticized her for not being able to handle her loss well.
Fans and observers mocked Rousey’s boxing and the fact that she tried to strike with a striker. In all essence, it took Rousey months before she could muster the mental strength to return to training.
Against Nunes, Rousey made the same mistake, trying to trade with the Brazilian knockout artist. Nunes owns 10 knockouts out of her 14 career victories. The victory over Rousey was her fifth in the promotion since joining in 2013.

Nunes’ only loss was to Cat Zingano back in 2014. She has however won seven out of eight bouts in her UFC career so far, and only one went to a decision.
“Lioness” didn’t stop after KO’ing Rousey. Nunes then went on to her Facebook to post ruthless meme, mocking Rousey to no end.
In the photo, baby Rousey is seen in a stroller while Nunes pushes it clutching her UFC belt.

With her performance, Nunes is poised to be an even more dominant champion than Rousey ever was. Aside from her propensity for knockouts, Nunes also holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Her frightful combination of striking and grappling skills is a nightmare matchup for any opponent.
Although it appears to be the end for Rousey as far as her MMA career goes, there is still a way back if she’s willing. Rousey needs to stick to her strengths, which is her world-class judo and submission skills.
If Rousey came into the Holm and Nunes bouts looking to prove that she is a striker, it was her downfall. If Rousey can go back to her roots and work her way back up the ladder, there’s a big chance for a resurgence.
However, things aren’t looking good for Rousey and it will not be a surprise if she leaves the sport for good.

Amanda licked Ronda good before fucking her over. I thought Ronda might cum from behind as she was fisted and pounded. But it wasn’t to be. (Yeah, y’all see what I did there ?)
Seriously though, Nunes represents a step backwards for MMA. She is so one dimensional that she may as well just be a boxer (ditto Holly Holm). She only won because of Rousey’s insane game plan, or lack of one. In every conceivable skill, Rousey was superior, except striking, yet she chose to strike !
Nunes has lost FOUR times, to mostly nobodies. Rousey lost twice to inferior opponents because she had a fucking idiot as a coach.
