Randy-Couture-vs-James-Toney-foxsports

1. James Toney

Even Dana White is not exactly sure why he signed Toney to fight in the UFC.  Toney had been calling out every big name in the UFC, saying he could beat them all not just in a boxing match but in a mixed martial arts bout.

Toney was far from the first boxer to do this, but for some reason he did it publicly enough that Dana wanted to shut him up.

Toney was fed to the wolves, immediately being put in a co-main event spot against Randy Couture at UFC 118.  Couture took Toney down and choked him out in just over 3 minutes. Toney would be released from his newly signed UFC contract and would never compete in MMA again.
