4. Nick Diaz and Joe Riggs UFC 57 (Las Vegas Hospital)
You can’t make this stuff up. Joe Riggs defeated Nick Diaz at UFC 57 by unanimous decision. Things then got amped up a notch between the two fighters when they were both sent to the same Las Vegas hospital to get looked at, and hospital administrators (who were no doubt unfamiliar with the Diaz brothers) decided it would be just fine for them to be in the same general area as one another.
According to Riggs, he was at the front desk and had an IV bag in at the time when he and Nick started jawing at each other. Riggs had said something to the effect that Nick was going to have to go back to the WEC because he had lost two in a row, and Nick just cracked him in the mouth. During the scuffle the two crashed into a closet and Riggs’ IV came out and blood started to splatter everywhere.
Later reports would also come out that Frank Mir and Tim Sylvia were both present, watched the whole thing, and made no attempts whatsoever to break things up.
