Chan Sung Jung also known as “The Korean Zombie” is back on the winning column as he defeats rising prospect, Dan Ige pretty much convincingly. Sung Jung was coming off a painful loss against Brian Ortega it was potentially for the title contender spot.

Sung Jung has been in the sport for quite a while, beating guys like Edgar and Poirier. His fight against Ortega was hard to watch if you are a Zombie fan. Sung Jung was completely outclassed and even knocked down numerous times.

Going to the fight, Zombie was the higher ranked fighter but odd-makers gave Ige the slight favorite mainly because he was coming off a win but in Zombie’s defense his competition was higher.

In the fight, Zombie showed that there are levels to this and mixed a lot of takedowns and striking  that Ige had no answer. Sung Jung used his wrestling and had dominating control on the ground and even scored a knockdown.

Sung Jung then went on to call out Max Holloway, saying that Holloway has no power. It is true that Holloway does not possess the knockout power but he drowns his opponents with volume punches. Holloway either breaks his opponent mentally or he will leave a permanent damage. His fight with Kattar and Ortega, it was brutal to watch mainly because the amount damage his opponents absorb.

Korean Zombie: ‘Max Holloway doesn’t have punching power, but I do. I can beat him’

Although Sung Jung also has the tools to beat Holloway, but going to the fight Holloway may be going in as a decent favorite. Many consider Holloway and Volkanovski as the two best featherweights right now.
