UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt has big aspirations. Talking about his upcoming fight with TJ Dillashaw, Garbrandt has crazy plans for after UFC 217…

Cody Garbrandt has a big score to settle at UFC 217. Facing his biggest rival yet in TJ Dillashaw, the UFC bantamweight champion takes on his former teammate in the November 4 co-main event.

Having trained together for years at Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, Dillashaw and Garbrandt’s beef started after ‘The Viper’ left the gym during his championship reign. Following that well-publicized move, accusations from both sides came out of the woodwork.

Claiming Dillashaw was using PED’s and intentionally injuring sparring partners, Garbrandt would himself win the title from Dominick Cruz. ‘The Dominator’ had taken the belt from ‘The Viper’ in a close decision, and soon Dillashaw and Garbrandt were opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter.

Injury saw the fight postponed until next month, but ‘No Love’ is already laying out plans for massive fights after UFC 217.

Garbrandt’s Opinion on Conor McGregor, Mighty Mouse

During an era where rankings are being pushed aside, Garbrandt wants to hop on that money train. There are many interesting options for ‘No Love’ should he defeat Dillashaw, but two names stand out above the rest.

Speaking with ESPN.com, Garbrandt laid down some pretty harsh words, particularly for ‘The Notorious’ to hear:

“I’ll go in there and knock Conor the f— out in boxing,” Garbrandt told ESPN. “Let’s be honest. There’s no difference in a southpaw [McGregor’s fighting stance] or orthodox. That guy could come out and fight on his hands for all I give a f—. I would knock him out, and that’s it.

“I’ve got T.J. ahead of me. He’s a great adversary to level up on. I’m excited to go in there and take out T.J., and whoever else — ‘Mighty Mouse’ [Johnson], Conor. You can give me top boxers, Adrien Broner, Mikey Garcia. I would love to get in the ring with them.”

Cody Garbrandt is basically willing to fight all comers after UFC 217, in boxing or MMA…

“Dominick was able to stay in the game only because I let him,” Garbrandt said. “I was having so much fun in my first world title fight, against one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, I didn’t want it to end.”

“I think the fight to make after I demolish T.J. is to go down to 125 pounds and become a two-weight world champion,” Garbrandt said. “That would be for my career and my legacy — and for him too. He needs a big fight.

“Cruz and T.J. can fight for an interim title. I’ll go down to 125, and then beat up the winner of that [interim title fight]. That’s how I see it playing out.”

Dillashaw is no pushover by any means, and who knows what will happen after UFC 217. Should it be a very close decision either way, ‘No Love’ might find himself taking on his rival in a rematch before any of the above names are considered. Time will tell.
