Mickey Gall, who first came to our attention’s after Dana White discovered him on his new show Looking For A Fight, has been promised CM Punk on his debut and the American Top Team product revealed the UFC’s plans for the pair on the SFLC podacst.
Gall announced that the UFC had sent a camera crew to his gym in preparation for the fight which he revealed will take place towards the end of the summer, most likely the 20th August.
“i think it’s going to be this summer, which i can do. i can wait. i’m training and i’m getting better and what i can’t wait for is to get my fight with cm punk”
Having the long awaited debut of CM Punk on the same card as the Diaz vs McGregor rematch would be a huge PPV draw for the company and will likely out perform UFC 200 and UFC 205, set to be the first ever event in Madison Square Garden. That is unless McGregor himself headlines that event, defending his Featherweight crown.
