Cris Cyborg Admits to Sharing Doctored Footage of an Encounter With UFC President Dana White… The Bald One is Not Happy… Can You Blame Him?
Cris Cyborg and Dana White’s feud continues to rumble, but now the Brazilian looks to make peace with the UFC President as she heads off for pastures new. She’s been told to go off and enjoy Bellator after the UFC President confirmed that he would no longer be doing business for her after her contract ended.
This means we will not get the much-anticipated rematch between Cyborg and Amanda Nunes, which is literally the biggest possible match-up in women’s MMA today. It’s a pity, but at the end of the day, a break works for both parties because it never truly worked for them together.
Now Cyborg has come clean about sharing doctored footage of an encounter with White after UFC 240. The Brazilian legend says that she takes full responsibility for the clip, as she attempts to heal some of the wounds of her departure.
Finally, I want to apologize to Dana White for posting the video. Even though we will continue to disagree about numerous issues, I will always stand up for doing what is right.https://t.co/iGdUx0iBDT

Doctored
There are two types of fighters in the UFC: those who get along with Dana White and thank him for everything he’s done for their careers, and those who hate the bald one’s guts. Cyborg is in the latter camp. After convincing the world that he was bullying her she released doctored footage of an encounter between the two of them. Now she’s come clean:
“Hey guys, I know that many people saw the video of my confrontation with Dana White after UFC 240 that was posted on my official YouTube channel, Twitter account and Instagram account. I want to let everyone know that the video was edited by my Production Team to make it appear as though Dana told me “and listen whenever you hear me saying stuff, I’m not saying …the truth.” Dana did not say that to me, and the subtitles in the video were incorrect.”

Honesty
Cyborg insists that honesty is her first policy – except when it’s obviously not. She admitted that she has had many run-ins with White and that’s why she wants to set the record straight and be the bigger man. She said:
“As you can see from the unedited video, Dana actually said “and listen, whenever you hear me saying stuff, I’m not saying negative things about you.” Dana and I have had many disagreements during my career in the UFC, and I have been adamant about standing up for myself in situations where I feel my character and statements have been misrepresented and used against me. But I also take pride in being an honest person and a true professional.”
Full Responsibility
Once again, Cyborg was extremely apologetic for the misrepresentation of what White said. At the end of the day, White says enough things to make you hate him without having to make stuff up as well. She wrote:
“I take full responsibility for the actions that resulted in the edited video being posted on my social media accounts. We were wrong, and I have addressed this issue with my Production Team so that it doesn’t ever happen again in the future. Finally, I want to apologize to Dana White for posting the video. Even though we will continue to disagree about numerous issues, I will always stand up for doing what is right.”
Now it looks highly likely that the Brazilian MMA legend will be on her way to Bellator or even boxing, with a potential match-up with Claressa Shields another option for her.
