Daniel Cormier has now called for stricter punishments for multiple failed drug tests...

Jon Jones gets busted once again for doping, as reported by TMZ. The website details that a source from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has told them that Jones failed a post UFC 214 drug test for Turinabol, an anabolic steroid. One man who is certainly not happy with the news, and understandably so, is former UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel “DC” Cormier.

Cormier and Jones battled in a highly-anticipated rematch in the main event at UFC 214. Jones ended up winning with an emphatic head kick knockout. Things appeared to be looking pretty good for the resurgent Jones. He had just finished a one-year suspension from USADA at the time for the same substance. Experts believe if proven guilty once again, that USADA will impose a harsher penalty. Jones is looking at what could possibly be a four year ban.

Daniel Cormier reacts to Jones failed drug test

Cormier has naturally reacted to the situation, and he “doesn’t know what to think anymore.”

“It’s hard to find words to describe how I’m feeling right now,” Cormier said. “I’m disappointed to hear the news. It’s very emotional.

“We as athletes are entitled to due process, and I will refrain from saying much more until I know exactly what happened.

“In my mind, on July 29, I competed and I lost. I thought Jon Jones was the better man that day, I don’t know what to think anymore. I can’t believe we are going through all of this again. We will see what happens next.

“Thank you to all my fans who have supported me during this dark time. I love you all very much.”

UFC President Dana White says this could be the end for Jon Jones

As per ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, the UFC has yet to strip Jones of the title, although it is seen as a formality at this point. UFC President Dana White is completely dumbfounded and doesn’t know what to say.

“Obviously, it’s brutal. It’s unbelievable,” he said. “I don’t know what to say. And I always know what to say. I don’t know what to say … We have to wait until it plays out with USADA.

“This might be the end of his career.”

“You look at what he could’ve been, what he could’ve done,” White said. “It’s sad.”

“The potential this kid had,” White said, shaking his head.

Of course, Jones has the right to due process. However, it’s completely unfathomable how he could talk his way out of this one.

Is this the end for Jon Jones?

If this is truly the end for Jones, it puts his entire career and legacy into bad light. For someone who could have gone down as the greatest to ever do it, it is indeed a sad thought.

We have yet to obtain an official statement from USADA. It is expected that they will do a full investigation of this matter. But being that this is the second offense from the same substance, it is highly-unlikely Jones gets out of this unscathed.

Jones is 6 foot 4 and is built like a truck. With every physical advantage, Jones is the last guy you thought would need PED’s. He did this to himself though, and it’s probably best everyone forget about this guy.

It turns out, the only man who had been able to defeat Jones was Jones himself.
