There is a major change in the UFC Fight Night card that was initially expected to be held in Shanghai. According to the recent reports, the card that is set for December 9 will now take place in Las Vegas.

UFC still has no confirmation about the matter, but several reports and sources claim that the change is already final. Shu Hirata, the manager for some of Japan’s MMA fighters, also shared the same news.

On a positive note, the bouts on the card will remain untouched, with Song Yadong and Chris Gutierrez making the headline with their bantamweight bout.

The change could be considered a huge step back from UFC, which is trying to infiltrate the huge market of China. In case pushed, it would follow the UFC’s 2019 card in China, where Zhang Weili made a monumental success by defeating Jessica Andrade and snatching the strawweight belt.

With all that, the plan might be pushed to next year.

We will update this article with more details soon.
