2. Michael Bisping
This is the fight the UFC wants, though I’m not entirely sure why. Bisping is not a big draw on PPV, though if anyone deserves a big-money PPV payday it’s him. This was the fight the UFC was trying to set up for UFC 206, however negotiations with Georges’ team and WME-IMG fell through.
For this fight to happen however, Bisping is going to have to defend his title against Yoel Romero sometime later this year. Defeating Romero is no easy task. Some would say that Bisping has a better chance of retaining his title due to Romero flunking a USADA test than he does actually defeating the former Cuban Olympian. That being said however, everyone expected Bisping to lose to Rockhold as well.
Bisping is physically bigger than Georges, but if the GSP who returns is the same one who dominated the sport for years, he shouldn’t have any problem with the current middleweight champ.
