Georges St. Pierre is back! His return couldn’t have come at a better time either. With Ronda Rousey’s future in doubt, Conor on sabbatical, and Brock Lesnar retired the UFC is hurting for big-money fighters.

Perhaps it was the UFC’s lack of stars at the moment that helped pave the way for the two sides to iron out their differences. Regardless of the reason however, one of the most successful fighters in the sport’s history is due to return later this year.
Here are eight possible opponents for GSP’s big comeback…

8. Yoel Romero
It is entirely possible that the first opponent GSP faces when he returns is Yoel Romero. What is also likely is this fight being for the UFC middleweight championship.
The fight that the UFC wanted to arrange for UFC 206 was Michael Bisping vs Georges St. Pierre for the middleweight title. It is still the case that the UFC would love for this fight to occur. With GSP not returning until the fall however, Bisping will have to defend the title against Yoel Romero beforehand. Some are stating that Bisping vs. Romero could take place at UFC 211 in May. That card already has a heavyweight title fight booked however.
If Romero takes the title from Bisping, and GSP is determined to go after the 185lbs belt, it is then quite likely Yoel Romero is his first opponent upon returning.
