2. Focus
Nate Diaz has said that he “ain’t doing s*#t” until the trilogy bout, whereas Conor may have multiple title fights in-between now and his next fight with Nate.
What it is sounding like at the moment is that Conor wants to face Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight championship next. If Eddie Alvarez likes money, then he probably wants the same thing. But Dana has said that if Conor doesn’t defend the featherweight championship next he’ll have to vacate it. Sounds like Conor doesn’t want to do that either.
So while Conor is having to train and plan for fights with Eddie Alvarez, possibly Jose Aldo, and heck even possibly Georges St. Pierre, all Nate has to do is sit back and train and prepare for beating one guy: Conor.
