Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt
A big reason why UFC 200 sank like a brick in a pool was the fight between Mark Hunt and Brock Lesnar. The former UFC heavyweight champion returned to MMA after five years out, and it was not great viewing.
Of course his $2.5 million pay check and the fact he actually won is what matters to Lesnar, but for the paying fans it was a painful fight to watch, and not physically. Lots of wrestling, little fun, and hardly a scratch on what we’d hoped for.
If this sounds harsh, just consider how amazing some recent pay-per-views and even fight pass cards have been, then remember that UFC 200 was meant to have the atmosphere of a historic card.
