So Much Wrestling
OK, we all know that wrestling is not only essential for MMA, it’s widely considered the most important base alongside Jiu Jitsu and striking. That said, it does not make for fun watching. Unfortunately for the fans paying good money to watch UFC 200, it looked more like the NCAA championships.
Daniel Cormier, the self professed ‘king of the grind’ was never going to stand and strike with Anderson Silva for too long. It’s not hate for how he fought ‘The Spider,’ just more of a disappointment.
Add in Lesnar’s grappling game plan and most fighter’s inability to shift the wrestlers from on top of them, fans were letting their feelings be known all night.
